Pharrell was the only Black Male Artist to take home an awards at the BRIT held on February 25. Pharrell took hole the International Solo Male award. This has caused a social uproar as an ITV newsreader said that there were only "white and male".

Etana was hospitalized in a Miami Florida yesterday after she blacked out for several  minutes. She was reportedly at home packing for her trip to Jamaica to perform at the JaRIA'a Reggae Wednesday showcase suddenly feeling dizzy she fainted. According to Etana husband and manager, " I called 911 while trying to revive her, and after a few minutes, the paramedic's came and they took care of her, and they took care of her, and put her in the ambulance and rushed her to the hospital".
Etana was discharged a few hours later being kept for observation. Etana said "I just want my fans to know that I am alright, and will be strong enough to perform at the private Stop Ebola and Build For the Future concert. The doctors said it was just a combination of dehydration and exhaustion, just stress,".  She also continue to say, "At the time when I regained conscienceness, I was not afraid, I don't know what was going on. The thing is, a few weeks ago, I had started feeling pain in my side, not like a regular back pain, it felt line one of my organs was tightening up. I didn't realize I wasn't drinking enough water, and I wasn't eating properly. I just keep going, I never stopped to rest. Maybe I was too stressed and did not take any time to rest, I didn't stop moving .., I just need to take better care of myself.

Etana is set to rerelease her new single "Better Tomorrow" on March 3 with all proceeds going towards children Orphaned by Ebola. This is a joint effort by Etana and VP Records led by the United African Congress', Give Them a Hand Foundation and the Friendship Ambassadors Foundation to fight Ebola

DanceHall artist Vanessa Bling recently did an interview with Jamaica Star where she announced her venture. Vanessa Bling has acknowledge Vybz Kartel as being her mentor and teaching her about the business. Bling told Star, "I love lipstick, I am a businesswoman and I love to try different things. Sometimes the music business is very slow, so you have to try different things to back it up". She continued to say, "It will be distributed world wide. I am very proud to follow in Vybz Kartel's footstep because he had his rum line and his condom line as well. It's good to know that I am the first female from his camp to be doing something like this. I am very proud of myself and I know he would be proud as well. She was also excited about being a designer telling The Star, "I am also a designer, I designed the dress I wore to YVAs and it received a lot of credit from person who saw it". Vanessa Bling is very excited about the launch of Vanessa Bling Lipstick.

Last week Friday a young couple was exiting a bus when the stepped into a sinkhole. The young man and women fell 10 feet. The couples were rescued and taken to a nearby hospital and discharged with minor injuries.
